Hermes Abrasives Ltd was founded in 1985 as the subsidiary of Hermes Schleifmittel GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg, Germany.  Since then we have significantly increased our production facilities and market penetration.

Today the Colchester location is an important part of the Hermes Group, delivering to our customers a high level of customer care, matched by technical excellence in both our product and support services.  Using the quality and performance of Hermes Abrasives products we have optimised successfully the grinding processes of many of our customers improving efficiency and finish.

From our conversion plant in Colchester  we provide customers with abrasive belts manufactured to individual requirements and rolls, sheets, discs & non woven abrasives from our extensive stock.
